TWO MILE HOLLOW landed on three “Best of 2018” lists!
SF Chronicle's Lily Janiak says in her Year in review: Bay Area theater defines its own success in 2018:
"Every once in a while, you discover a new voice so singular, so unabashedly itself that you feel a little freer yourself, just taking it in."
And KQED gave us a Year-End Bay Area Theatre Award...
Best Crazy Rich Asians: "What sets it apart was Winkler’s decision (and director Lily Tung Crystal’s hilarious abetment) to have all of the ostensibly 'white' characters played by Asian-Americans, underscoring the absurdity of such characters while giving the actors a chance to play roles they aren’t typically cast for."- Nicole Gluckstern, KQED Arts

Leah Nanako Winkler says...
"Ferocious Lotus is a fearless group of amazing artists who are smart, funny, and passionate. With an urgent understanding that representation matters, Ferocious Lotus tirelessly advocates for the underrepresented and strives to strengthen the theatrical landscape with AAPI narratives that are surprising, inclusive, political, and fun. Organizations like these are a necessary home for artists who take risks and are unafraid to ask big questions. It often results in timely storytelling in a world that often tells us our voices don't matter--which is crucial. They definitely deserve all the support!"
